Katrina Wolf (owner)

Katrina is the founder of Agewell Senior Fitness. She is an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer an ACE Certified Senior Fitness Specialist, and a Certified Functional Aging Specialist. She has been a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant since 1997 and brings her over 20 years experience working in physical therapy to your home.
Katrina’s vision for Agewell Senior Fitness is to bring quality, knowledgeable exercise instruction to those who need it most: older adults who may not be able to leave the home easily, and those with health conditions who may be apprehensive about exercise. By matching personal trainers who are also rehab professionals with these clients, Agewell Senior Fitness is able to provide long term exercise instruction to this population. Our goals are to improve strength, reduce fall risk by improving balance and improve quality of life.
Katrina has had her own ups and downs in her fitness journey. Reclaiming her own health and strength though a healthy lifestyle has inspired her to do the same for others. Working with the senior population for 20+ years she has combined her love of improving peoples lives with her love of fitness. At Agewell Senior Fitness she is able to use her gift of motivating people along with her wealth of knowledge in working with medical conditions and exercise to Mid Maryland
Her areas of expertise include Parkinson’s Disease, Stroke/CVA, neurological conditions and frail elderly with multiple diagnoses. She has also worked as a personal trainer with clients following joint replacements or other significant surgeries, to continue recovery after their course of physical therapy has been completed.

Bernadette Schwai

Director Of Operations

Bernadette is an ACSM certified personal trainer and a Doctor of Physical Therapy. She brings 20+ years of experience working with various types of injuries, acute and chronic conditions, and a vast amount of experience working with the aging population.

Bernie’s career in Physical Therapy stemmed from her love of playing sports as a child and grew after experiencing a traumatic sports related injury. She overcame this devastating set back which has inspired her to do the same for others.
Bernie eventually began working with the senior population in a home care setting and developed a new love for working with aging adult persons. She has a passion for keeping the aging population as mobile and independent as possible. At Agewell Senior Fitness she is able to apply her wealth of knowledge in working with medical conditions and personal experiences to motivate others to overcome barriers and keep their independence and quality of life.
She now specializes as a certified personal trainer working with the senior population with acute and chronic medical conditions. These include generalized deconditioning, Congestive Heart Failure, COPD, cancer, orthopedic and neurological conditions.
Bernadette earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UMBC in 1993, a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the UMES in 1998 and a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from University of St. Augustine in 2014. She has taken extensive continuing education classes in manual therapy from University of St. Augustine, Michigan State Osteopathic School of Medicine and the Jones Institute to improve the lives of those that live with chronic pain and biomechanical dysfunctions.
Bernadette enjoys continuing on her path of fitness in her spare time working out, running, and hiking or doing outdoor activities with her husband, daughter and dog.

Chelsea Fallstich

Chelsea Fallstich is a free lance health and wellness professional with 10+ years of experience in therapeutic exercise, functional movement patterns, balance, stretching and preventative care through physical movement. Chelsea’s passion for exercise and its use as a therapeutic tool began in 2008 after completing the AAAI/ISMA personal training course and obtaining her CPT. She spent 4 years working in a corporate gym setting focusing her training toward those with pre-existing and chronic conditions including but not limited to Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, Lymphedema, Lupus, high blood pressure, RA as well those with visual and auditory impairments. It was during this time that Chelsea began to witness first hand the immense role exercise played in the management and reduction of symptoms that are associated with many chronic conditions and diseases.
Chelsea graduated from Anne Arundel Community College in 2013 with an Associate of Applied Science Degree after completing the CAPTE accredited CACHE Physical Therapist Assistant program in Arnold, MD. She has been a licensed and practicing PTA for 7 years, specializing in Geriatrics, stroke rehabilitation, joint replacement, Parkinson’s and Parkinsonism and cardiac/cardiopulmonary disease. Her previous experience as a CPT has allowed her the ability to use creativity and diversity in her exercise prescriptions that are both effective and fun.
Chelsea’s education and experience as a CPT and LPTA has been coupled with a 12+ year yoga practice consisting heavily on breath work, body awareness and mindfulness. She is a huge advocate of incorporating yoga techniques and methods into exercise to improve function and to provide a learning tool for the individual that teaches them how to utilize their breath during and outside of exercise to optimize health and well being. She recently completed a 4 month- 200-hour Vinyasa teacher training and is now RYT with Yoga Alliance. Chelsea’s yoga practice includes but is not limited to; Hot yoga, Vinyasa, Yin, Ashtanga and the Bikram Method.
Growing up in a military family, Chelsea had the opportunity to live in many different parts of the world and the United States which has allowed her exposure to many different cultures, languages, religions and life styles which has helped with reinforce adaptability and more importantly the idea of individuality. She recognizes that each exercise prescription and method of delivery should be customized to meet the needs unique to the individual. Her military upbringing has helped nurture her passion for travel which has taken her to 7 countries in the last 3 years. In additional to traveling, Chelsea’s hobbies include hiking, kayaking, reading and cooking.

Jennifer Salcedo

NCSF certified Personal Trainer
Bachelor’s degree in Health Science

Jennifer Salcedo is a certified personal trainer (NCSF) and health professional from Venezuela, where her passion for wellness and movement began. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science with a minor in Sports Medicine from Marymount University and has over five years of experience helping clients improve strength, mobility, and overall well-being.

Jennifer specializes in training seniors (65+) and individuals with Parkinson’s disease, neuropathy, and mobility challenges—a passion inspired by her deep love for her grandparents. Her background as a Rehabilitation Technician in nursing home and rehab settings strengthened her skills in post-rehab fitness, injury prevention, and functional training.

Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys hiking, exploring nature, and studying the human body’s resilience and adaptability. She lives an active life with her three dogs—an English Bulldog, an Aussie, and a Great Dane—and brings that same energy and compassion to every client she trains.

Corey Fraser

Licensed physical therapist assistant

Corey is a licensed physical therapist assistant of 7 years, and has experience working with older adults throughout the full spectrum of fitness and recovery.

He has a background working in assisted living, skilled nursing, and retirement communities, along with several years of experience working in outpatient and home health settings, and specialized rehab facilities with stroke and traumatic brain injury populations.

He is passionate  about helping individuals in fitness goals ranging from recovery after a serious injury, illness, or surgery, to developing plans for long term health and independence for those with a strong foundation of fitness already.  

Corey lives with his wife and pets in Silver Spring, where he enjoys going on hikes with his German Shepherd, learning about native trees, and practicing his woodworking and woodturning.

Covers much of Montgomery County.

Azaria Norris

Certified Personal Trainer
I have been a professional in my industry for over 10 years and have fallen in-love with fitness and body positivity. I received my Degree in Exercise and Sports Science in 2013 and have worked as a Certified Personal Trainer ever since. I have worked with clients in need of weight management, functional fitness, and more. Along the way I was blessed with opportunities to work in Rehabilitation clinics and Senior facilities giving me the chance to specialize in these areas for fitness. Within the last two years I have worked with clients living with Parkinson’s on top of instructing in person and virtually. Seniors by day and working adults by night. Fitness and health has filled my heart. All successes and experiences have fueled my philosophy that Every person is worthy of Health and a good time!”

Lauren

Lauren grew up in Ellicott City who is now living in Sykesville and is a Mom of four. She graduated in 2014 from Roanoke College with a BS in Health and Exercise Science. She then attended Howard Community College completing the Physical Therapist Assistant program in 2018. Her personal trainer certification was first received from ACE in 2016. 

Over the past five years, Lauren has worked at a Senior Assisted Living Facility in Columbia working with older adults with a variety of neurologic, musculoskeletal, orthopedic and other movement disorders. Coming from a tightly knit family, she grew up very close to her grandmother, who worked as a nurse for decades and this inspired Lauren to find a career helping others. She truly enjoys improving the function and fitness of others and seeing their lives improve as a result, regardless of age. 

Growing up, Lauren participated in travel soccer and in high school and college she ran track as a hurdler. She enjoys working out on her Peloton bike and doing activities such as hiking, running and rock climbing. Her career goal is to continue to work towards improving the quality of life of others through physical fitness and training.

Julie Fernandes

Certified ACSM Personal Trainer, Certified PWR! Moves Trainer and a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Julie has over 30 years experience in the health care and rehab industry helping older adults return to quality of life after illness or injury. Julie is able to effectively use her background in rehabilitation to help clients of all abilities. She decided to follow her passion to focus on preventive care and wellness, with a focus on functional strength and balance. Julie creates an atmosphere that is both encouraging and supportive so that exercise is something clients look forward to, allowing them to be their best, improve mental health, and maintain quality of life for years to come.She also earned a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification, which prioritizes listening to the needs of the customer, producing results with efficiency, and finding solutions when clients are faced with challenges. In her spare time she enjoys being a part of the Frederick Steeplechasers running community and spending time with family, which includes Dash, the beloved 4-legged member of the pack.

Brigid Stokes 

BS in Exercise Science from the University of Maryland College Park

MHA from Mount Saint Mary’s University

Brigid has over 30 years of experience in the health and fitness industries. She has spent the last decade working in Cardiac Rehabilitation at Medstar Washington Hospital Center as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist. Since 2020, Brigid has been part of the adjunct faculty in the Health Science department at Frederick Community College.

Since teaching her first water aerobics class when she was 20 years-old, Brigid has had love and respect for the aging population. One of her core beliefs is that it is never too late to start exercising, and she understands the importance of functional mobility as a key role in maintaining quality of life. Moving every day, in any way, is vital for overall health and happiness.

Brigid has 4 amazing children and lives in the city of Frederick. In her spare time she loves hiking, biking, running and going to the beach with her family.

George James

George has been involved in the fitness industry since the early 2000s. He began his journey as an exercise science student at Slippery Rock University. This foundation grew into multiple accomplishments and experiences. He holds or has held an array of certifications in fitness training, PWR! Moves for Parkinson’s, Egoscue therapy, coaching, and kettlebell training. Experiences with this educational background gravitated towards one on one personal training from children to senior adults, group fitness in a variety of classes, writing articles for the Milo strength journal and completing two books—Abdominal Training Inside and Out and Fitness Through the Eyes of the Heart. He has also served in the Navy as a corpsman, reserve and active component. This service included assisting as command fitness leader where he would administer body composition, fitness testing for sailors and counseling as needed.
